Ord Ban is a friendly and relaxed café within Rothiemurchus by day, transformed into a cosy and intimate dining room by night. Our menus are simple and offer delicious food which is fresh, seasonal and rich in local flavour.
Not only food, we also thrive on events such as live acoustic music and art house cinema evenings.
We hope to give our guests a great and unique experience.
At the heart of the Cairngorm National Park, just 5 minutes from Aviemore Ord ban is within Rothiemurchus Estate - “one of the glories of wild Scotland”, Sir David Attenborough.
We aim to source as close to home as possible and to support the budding number of local growers and producers in the area. We are hugely fortunate to enjoy a variety of Rothiemurchus Highland beef and venison of exceptional quality which can also be bought from the Farm Shop next door along with artisan cheeses and rainbow trout smoked over whisky barrels.
We are open each day for lunch, locally roasted coffee and home made cakes and Mon-Sat evenings for supper. On Sunday we host a Silverscreen night - fine fare and classic films.
